Yes it is pretty, but I do it as I have nowhere else to grow them really, and I find it works well.

Oh dear Fran, you've got me now, I didnt write it down when I planted them, but I think I may have done it when we had that sunny spell in March, it seems a few weeks now. They were slow getting started because it turned cold again didnt it. They are growing a bit faster now.
