Yes you are right Amy. WE grow a lot of local things too, but our design is bound to be quite English since this is what we know. It's a constant source of amazement to the neighbours.

I like to plant silvery foliage plants just for their presence in moonlight...
These days our surroundings are so lit up that pure moonlight is hard to find! lol. Do you grow artemisias? Lychnis and even aegopodium look lovely at night.
