I really like them too, Paul. This one will be yellow and white...and I think I've got room for maybe just one more! :)))
Are ours a bit late this year, SL? I've seen other pics - much further on.
It's looking really good at the moment, though, all thick and luscious from the base up.
When the time comes, can you do a blog about how to keep it that way, please, SL? :))

ok will do, i must admit mine is well behind here, weathers been erratic which could be a cause....

These take well as cuttings too :))

Thanks SL! :)
That's probably right...this one's evergreen but a part of the middle of it turned brown and dead looking over the winter. I snipped that bit out...although, it wasn't dead and had begun sprouting - only at the top.
Do you know, Scottish - I'm going to try that! I was just looking at a big space on the pergola and thinking about getting another one... :))

i had some thing similar happen with L.Brownii, so i cut it right back to ground level, took 3 years to recover but i didn't get that browning again..... well touch wood that is i've probably jinxed myself now :-))

Lol! I hope not, SL....! ;)))
It happens a lot here...and it's exactly what I don't want to happen! I wonder if some varieties are more prone that others?

possibly Karen i would think the species type are more resilient but that's just a guess.....

Anyway, if you do that blog next time, SL - I'll have a fighting chance! :)))
