i give mine a little trim after flowering and divide in the autumn force it the following year to re-grow fresh new stems..other than that not a lot else really :-)

Very pretty flowers, I've really enjoyed the dianthus this year!

I must admit...I'm not very good with the little ones and have shyed away until now, or else just ripped them out and replaced them.
But, I'm determined to conquer my heavy handed attitude this year! lol!

Oooh, lovely, that one's the same as mine, but mine isn't flowering yet. Nice to see what it will be like. I have a 'heavy handed' problem as well Karen, and it can't be in the name as Karen is 'peace' not 'bull-in-a-china-shop' isn't it! ;)

I've two the same, Karen...this one, not too bad, and the other one, which looks like a well-used nest!!!
I thought that we were "pure"...as the driven snow...? ;)

Quite right Karen, I must have had a mental blip there, of course it is 'pure'! :)) And quite appropriate too I feel! ;)
