These boulders are naturally occuring. A big glacier came through our canyon long, long ago and left a lot of rubble. The glacier met a lakebed, ancient Lake Bonneville on whose shores woolley mammoths roamed. The lake is now dried up and only a remnant remains, which is The Great Salt Lake, and though a remnant, it is as big as Rhode Island. The lakebed is the Salt Lake Valley and beyond to the west. The Bonneville Salt Flats are about 80 miles west and the world land speed records were set there. This is a marvelous part of the universe to live in. Years ago there was a book written by John McPhee called Basin and Range. If you are interested, check it out. To the east of my home is the Wasatch Mountain Range, the westernmost range of the vast Rocky Mountain range of North America and Canada. Moose, bear, mountain goats and many animals share our environment.

Thank you for filling us in, it's going to be very interesting to see more, particularly as you are in such a different part of the world.
