It's a gorgeous shade and will look fantastic there beside that ?persicaria.

They hit me in the eye at the GC this morning...
Yes, that's Persicaria 'Red Dragon'. :-)

Gorgeous, I adore foxgloves, but only familiar with the wild colours. Really spectacular !
5 Jun, 2012
I'm really glad that someone has decided to breed more striking foxgloves. I saw one with 'split'petals - it looked pretty and unusual, but I resisted that one! ;-))

Wow, they really are pink too...on the list. I wonder if they're perennial? Will they seed...how long do they flower?...are you sure you want it?:-)
8 Jun, 2012
Hmmm...answers:
1) They're supposed to be perennials.
2) No, they're sterile. :-(((
3) Dunno yet!
4) YES.
8 Jun, 2012
Right ho;-) How are your pink delphiniums? I might find some at Gardeners World Live...still love Darling Sue and I'll be looking out for this too if you are too selfish to give it to me. Isn't this weather awful....wild wind and torrential rain not good for the garden:-(
8 Jun, 2012
Ooh, he's lovely, I like that...
8 Jun, 2012
Thanks, Bamboo. :-))
Ba...I couldn't find a tall thin box to send it, unfortunately, so it's not on its way to you. Sorry.
Yes, my garden was badly hit by that weather. :-(((((((
9 Jun, 2012
I'll send you a tall thin box lol:-) Miracle of miracles...it doesn't seem to be raining so far today!!!! :-))))
9 Jun, 2012
OK...but I totally, utterly refuse to dig up my foxglove, so there! :-p
It's not raining here either. Just very breezy.
9 Jun, 2012
Sun's shining now!!!!:-)
9 Jun, 2012
It rained here on Saturday evening and all day yesterday. Today's been cloudy but dry.
11 Jun, 2012
Dry today, but dull...nothing looks really lovely in my garden at the moment unlike May...I feel as though the rain washed some colour out:-(
12 Jun, 2012
Didn't you get any sun yesterday? It's back out this morning, but rain is on its way, I'm afraid. :-((
14 Jun, 2012
We did get sun on wednesday and it was nice today at GWL NEC until late afternoon:-) I only bought some heuchera and diascia, went on the train:-(
14 Jun, 2012
You were very restrained! Have a star. (*).
Did you enjoy the show?
15 Jun, 2012
I did, but again disappointing compared to previous year...I say that each time I go lol, but it's true. No big show gardens (unless we missed them) and the marquee had only small exhibits and nothing terribly exciting. I am putting a blog on and you'll see what I mean. Oh there were a few exciting trees from Bluebell nurseries I think, I'll let you know when it's done. Also it's a very tiring day and travelling home on public transport doesn't help lol:-)
15 Jun, 2012
No, I can believe that. I watched Gardeners' World last night, and what I saw was lovely! (I didn't spot you in the crowds though...)
16 Jun, 2012
I'll look at catch up, it was hard dodging the cameras. Perhaps we missed some show gardens again ?:-)
16 Jun, 2012
Joe Swift ambled around some. You'll see if you watch the programme.
18 Jun, 2012
I've seen it and enjoyed it although they managed to make the gardens look bigger and better in some cases than they were in reality:-)
18 Jun, 2012
I know what you mean by that, Bornagain - I remember going to Chelsea one year and then seeing the little gardens on the tv - they looked twice the size on the telly! How do they do that...
18 Jun, 2012
Very deceptive - it must be camera angles I suppose. To be honest, I'm not inspired by show gardens usually, as I can't see how I'd want to use the ideas in my own garden. I'm too opiniated I expect! LOL...
Just occasionally I spot a plant or a combination that I like. When the designers go all 'experimental' like that Chelsea on with the concrete and lettuce, well! Would I copy that idea? Nope. :-O
19 Jun, 2012
I hate it when they're given 'themes' as they were at Chelsea. How about the 'This looks beautiful' or 'What a fantastic combination' theme? :-)
19 Jun, 2012
Good thinking, Ba. It should be a new rule! :-)))))
20 Jun, 2012
Did you buy your d. illumination from T&M Barbara? I can't find it anywhere else:-(
20 Jun, 2012
No - I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, Ba. Too many bad experiences, I'm afraid. :-((
My nearest (independent) GC had them, but I've seen them at Wyevale and the big GC up the M5 as well. They'd just taken delivery of them, so keep looking.
21 Jun, 2012
I can only look online:-(
21 Jun, 2012
Oh...Well, it was named the 'plant of the year', so I've just read, so you could well find them by a google.
Good luck!
21 Jun, 2012
Nope...I'll have to have yours:-)
23 Jun, 2012
Hard luck. :-(((
And the answer is still NO! :-X
24 Jun, 2012
:-(
24 Jun, 2012
Sorry..........:-(((((
