Thanks all, I love Echiums they hum with the sound of bees, all white ones this year next years should be blue and pink, frost permitting :o)))

Sounds ideal.
I have some large conifers in the properties adjoining the north end of mine which should be a huge help.

The only other place I have seen such magnificent examples is at the Old Vicarage gardens ,East Ruston ,I expect you have been there and seen them Ph ......

Yes we usually go a couple of times a year, one of my friends does some of the gardening for Alan, I wiil probably go in a couple of weeks time when Im on holiday :o)
