Wolf Spider

This mother Wolf Spider was carrying around her bundle of joy on her butt ! It's her egg case and it's actually attached to her spinnerettes. I found her in May in my daylilies. I think I found this "bundle of joy" today on an Iris.

We get lots of these here, being so close to the lake. They grow pretty huge...Ugh!

Yeah, I've got people around where I live saying they've seen them all the time. I tell them I don't think so. We live in Cayuga county in New York, and I have never seen any form of wolf spider.
