It's a much better plant to have instead of that Lavatera. I don't miss it one bit!

The Lavatera took up too much much space and flopped onto other plants. The Robinia stands above them, so it's much better. :-)

Look at the colour of that!!!! Gorgeous! I did try to grow a Robinia here once but it never grew, in fact I think it was dead when it arrived (in winter). But I've never seen one up here, so perhaps the wind is too much for them, and the cold. I've ended up planting three Lavatera this year B! How funny! :D
