we must have the same taste in our garden plants / shrubs Karen , yes it does smell of Pineapple Kathy it's covered in blossom I'll take another photo when it's all in bloom .......

Look forward to it Amy. I planted three more standard ones this winter and they are going to flower as well....it will be lovely when they have grown up a bit. Great to get them above your head height, although I have a shrub one too, which is also new and is going to cover some of my fence.....so lovely this plant. I really love it!

I do love this shrub tried to grow it in the Midlands, no joy might give it a try, will it get tall and does it require staking Amy.....it looks so exotic.

You can admire your neighbours from afar then Motinot :o)
I would say our tree is approx 15ft tall Dd it's about the size of a large apple tree with the same kind of spread this one isn't staked it has a strong trunk , I'm not sure if you can keep them pruned into a smaller more manageable size and shape .....

Love this. Lost mine though to the dreaded Winter of 2010. Had it for about 6 years, love the pineapple smelling flowers. Not sure if I would risk another one :-(
