About Forty long time since I counted them,around twenty Camellias and ten Magnolias.many have to be pruned each year to let light in and keep paths open, they are all within about 1/4 of acre.

holy crap, that is a lot of rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias! you're as bad as i am with daphnes and hydrangeas. Do you have a lot of different Magnolia varieties? Every once in a while I come across a Magnolia I had never heard of and there are some interesting ones out there.

Magnolias are all different Varieties with the exception the common White stellata there are two of them,problem is they grow and grow the pink form Leonard Messel must be twenty feet high.And a couple of Rhododendrons must twelve feet high,(and I do prune them) there are pictures posted if you ever have time to go back,knowing me they are more likely to be in blogs in spring this or last year.
As for different varietes of Magnolia there are a lot of nice ones more each year many bred your side of the pond but have no more space for large ones.

I like the colour and the shape is perfect. I do hope it survives for a week or two. The last of our rhodos are starting to flower now. I've never known them to be so late.
