Thanks everyone...She's 8 years Les....Quite a traumatic time for our Frecks...but she's doing ok...much calmer now, she used to be quite a boisterous Cat, she would rub against the others, and almost knock them off their feet...she was so strong, I have to do a little smile when I look at that face...xx planted thanks Pix...

What operation did she have? I hope not castration?!

Awww, poor Frecks. Absolutely the right decision though. She is a beaut!

She used to be on birth control...a tablet that's available just like for women...but some months back she had a small cyst on her milk gland, and had an op to remove it...and we didn't put her back on the pill....but kept her in if she came into season...Well the inevitable happened and she got out....and you know the rest...so we talked it over with the Vet...who seemed to think she was fit enough to have the op...She has been through a lot has our Frecks, and is only a shadow of herself at the moment...but she's well....and getting there...:o))))

Sounds as if she's been unwell, hope she's back to normal. DON'T I JUST LOVE SILVER TABBIES!!I wish I could have had one, but one never came my way!
I have just got a "lilac & cream" tortoiseshell (they say that is what she is) from Blue Cross homing, Burford. She is gorgeous & settling in well - 8 years old, so not a kitten. We have had her 4 weeks & only let her out on her own the other day. Name is Flossie. Love your profile photo too of the tortoiseshell, how many cats have you got?

Hiya Shirl, sorry I'm bit behind at the moment...
I love Silver tabbies too...I like the sound of Flossie's colouring...that's so nice that you've given an older cat a home, she will love you for it, I'm sure...Our Frecks is 8 yrs too, we have Snoball at 9yrs..Elkie is a younster at 3yrs next month and Sweetie, our baby who died recently from Lymes Disease, who features in my Avatar, she was a Torti...and didn't even get to two years old bless her...
I did a blog in rememberance to her, if you care to read it, but it's sad...and we miss her dreadfully...

So now sadly we have just the three, all loved very much...

No I haven't yet Crissue, I have taken one or two nice ones of her, I shall have to add a couple.

Do you bury your pets in your garden?
We've had several over the years, including our old German Shepherd Pepper, all buried in our garden (even the goldfish & a budgie had to be buried properly when the kids were little!).
I'll read your blog when I feel I can face up to the sadness. I can't really bare to read sad stories about animals!

Hi Shirl, I'll look forward to seing Flossie's pics...Yes over the years all pets go into their 'plot' in the garden...Sweetie is in our tiny Woodland area, amongst the Ferns and Arums, with Cowslips and Bulbs in Spring...she used to love to lay on the bark Path, where it was cool...so we thought it her spot...Years ago we had a Black Car named pepper...:o)))

Don't worry about the Blog, I still can't reread it, the Poem 'Rainbow Bridge' gets me everytime...
