Heuchera "Ronnie's Pink" ;)

Heuchera "Ronnie's Pink" ;)

No, it's not really called that...that's another joke I had at my own expense a little while ago! Some of you will recall. I think it 'might' actually be 'Mars'. I brought it home, unidentified, and split it into about 12! Brilliant! Most of them are definitely growing..this is the best. I love the colour and am so chuffed....£4 for about 12 plants! would be grateful for i.d.

Several different colours going on there Karen. The darker leaves look a bit like Blackberry Jam, but the lighter ones put me off that. So don't know, will have to have a think.

Yes, it is much lighter than Blackberry Jam Cinders. I wondered if it might be 'Mars' myself?

Oh I don't know that one.

No, me neither, and it's always tricky to id from the pics on google...but that looks like the nearest to it. I'll have a better idea once it grows a bit, and we see how the colours change.

Looks a bit like 'sugar frosting' Karen, or maybe 'plum pudding'???....lovely

I don't think it's either of those though Moti, but thank you very much for the suggestions. I will keep looking. there is a pic on google looks just like it, but it has no name either....typical!

You're welcome Karen...:>)

Thanks Carole, it was so root bound in the pot I decided to divide it up. Some of the pieces were a bit tiny, but still, a good result.

Thanks homebird!

Thats the joy of Heucheras Karen. You can chop back to no leaves, with rust, and they are back again after 6 weeks good as ever. Split them as you have done and get freebies out of them. I split Petite Marbled Burgundy into several plantings in one big fancy pot in early spring. 2 months later they were in bloom and have been ever since.

Brilliant. I am really loving them, although I have had some real disappointments with lime green ones dying over winter. But never mind, I know now that they are not so strong. Lime Marmalade is the sole surviver of the pale green group, but Heucherella 'Alabama Sunrise' has also survived (just) and is now flowering. Apart from that, they have been a joy!

I think you should stick with this name :o))

I am now leaning towards "Purple Ronnie" Annie! :D
