Love these photos Lulu. My daughter loves horses. She was never good at any sport at school, but when she gets on a horse she looks like she was made for it! Sadly, now at uny she has little chance to ride (so expensive as you know), but she has recently started volunteering at the local RDA (disabled riding for those who don't know) centre and she is loving it, even though she has yet to actually sit on any of the horses! it's a great thing for her as it combines her love of horses with her teaching skills and she is really having her patience challenged, as many of the riders have to be told the same thing a hundred times a session, so she is really learning how to be calm under pressure! She would love to have her own horse, but I keep telling her, she'll have to find a rich farmer to marry ;)

Or a farmer with a dray horse!
Riding for the disabled is very rewarding, we used to do it using a pony and a donkey. We lost one of the children one day and found him swinging from the tail of my step mum's thoroughbred! who, being very ticklish, bitey and kicky, he was just standing there looking back adoringly at the little boy!!

Love the photo. Strange isn't it Lulu how animals seem to know how to react, far better than we do. I too love horses and used to ride in my youth, but maturity and a bad back has put paid to that.
Karensusan, I have friend who now has 3 horses. one old fella seeing out his years, one she rides and the newest, a youngster she's bringing on. She's not well off...or married for that matter, but rents stables, grazing etc and works basically just to keep them. So you see, it is do-able

Well, if Rachel decides to spend her wages on that when she's earning, she can of course! :D She's 22 Waddy!
