I know I cannot believe it either, think the gravel/pebbles must put the snails and slugs off them.

I put it down in the hopes it would keep them out and it does seem to work. Although after saying that I bet I get out there and find it shredded tomorrow. lol.

It is big now Karen, I love it when they look like this. It has been in a long while now though. The frogs like them too they can hide under them.

Well I do have 'June' at the pondside and it will get nice and big in time. :)

Yes it will :o) I must put mine in the garden as it is not looking too good think it is all the damp and cold we have had.

Yes, so many things are suffering...the roses in particular, but the clematis too, and the lawn looks awful again...really yellow. Clearly the problem is bad drainage as the grass on the turf seat is lush and deep dark green! I think I should remove all the lawn and just have a water garden instead! lol

Thanks Michaella.
Karen what sort of grass seed was it you set for the lawn or was it already laid turf when you moved in? I wonder if it would be worth scarifying it and then maybe dropping some different seed into the holes if that would maybe help it.
