At last Graham Thomas and New Dawn have met under the rose arch....:o)) A quick "Hello" and they have grown on by, virtually covering the whole structure....amongst the buds I have spied a lovely deep purple clematis just beginning to open too......

Well done, it's a great occassion when you can get 2 roses to meet over an arch. Hope mine will end up that way.

Ha ha Ba.....I love to see it all covered over, these two Roses were specially picked, one of the reasons being they are highly scented, both pot grown and top price. Whether its the lack of sun that doesn't get the oils moving or some other reason, neither seem to be particularly perfumed.
Now to the left of GT, there's a rambler Pink Perpetue, planted this year, bare rooted and cheap when bought and the flower buds nearly knock your socks of with perfume!
Can't wait for it to really get going...:o)
Yes Dd....the GT is really growing sky high...:o))

Isn't it disappointing when you want the air perfumed...and it isn't. I have a honeysuckle coming over from neighbours garden that knocks your socks off, not sure which it is, but I've just bought honeysuckles from Morrisons, really for the perfume:-)

Yes it is,........our honeysuckle is the pink and gold one, really sweet smelling, then like you we have a neighbours one hanging over the wall near the cottage, a cream and lemon one, wow, in the evening it's incredible!

Thanks Amy, I think it may be a Rose year don't you, all of them seem to be full of buds. I had a look at your Aloha, that's a gorgeous one too, will look beautiful with N D.
Could be Ba, I think you would say GT is more yellow gold, , I love all yellow roses though.
I know what you mean Val, the nursery who sold me this one said it would reach about 8th, could be a tall shrub Rose, but like yours, it's really flown this year!
