Hi Fran, what a calm place like a Royal Botanic garden cafe corner:)) I also loved to sit on my balcony each morning, but for these very hot days it is almost Florida at seven o clock in the morning.
Nice place to relax :))

it's not finished yet, but it's getting there - one can still see the tables - and I was careful not to show the other end of the garden! but then, I can't see it from the bench.

Looking very nice there Fran, you're making a nice scene there

getting there by degrees. don't do much for ages, then go mad and blitz; I keep forgetting that small plants don't stay small (if one's doing it right!) so i don't want to get any more plants, besides, I do need to be able to access the under-table storage now and then.

lol trying to chill - will be able to chill more when I get my hammock slung!

LOL. Then you really need A LOT of space on your terrace. Of course, it depends if you dangle or not :))

I would love to have plants trailing and dangling, but don't have anything overhead, or even really strong, to hang them from. Once i get a bit more sorted, I'll put up my wall planters, and I want some hanging baskets - should have room for a couple. But there's stuff to do before I get to that stage ...

Hi, Fran, I was thinking of dangling hammock slung, for which you need some space at the balcony.:))))

I've got a couple of walls that should take strong hooks, which I've also got! had a hammock for years, even when I lived on the 7th floor! Only a basic one, black nylon mesh, but it'll do. I need to leave a space to sling it for use, can roll it up when not in use.

I'm leaving a clear lane between the flat wall on one side and the end table at the other, it'll go from the end wall to the wall beside the back door; I'll have to limbo to get in and out while it's slung, or unhook it each time.

Main prob is to work out how high to have it - has to be fairly low, so I don't have far to fall out! but don't want to bump my behind on the floor - besides I need to be able to get in and out without too many gymnastics.

Just spotted the discs.nice bit of bling and privacy aid as well as recycling. 3 in 1 not bad Fran.

I did a blog on that, Dorjac (wall of sound). It was so that I couldn't see into next door's garden - given where the plant tables are, I'd be standing there a lot, and even looking in that direction from the other end felt uncomfortable. This is the third screen I tried; firts was just a bit of material I had to hand, second was a bit of shower curtain, but finally got round to this one; lets air through but blocks most of the view. The neighbours get to see the label side of the discs, but as they're the ones that stuck their sattelite dish in my garden, I'm not too bothered about that. At least they've got something to read if they get really bored.
