I love your statue - it is very expressive!

She sits atop the grave of my dog, Brandy. She saw me through many life changes and I had her before I married my husband or had my daughter. She was thirteen when she died and we had nursed her back from a stroke the previous fall.
I knew exactly what I wanted the statue to express, so when I found it at a local store I had to buy it. I have planted bleeding hearts and baby tears among dogwood, redbud, and columbine on this hill to commemorate a great and loyal friend.

That's so perfect! I have a small pet area for a cat & birds that I planted with tulips - orange for my calico & yellow for the cockatiel - and yellow daffodils for the canaries. With the addition of a solar light it is a small tribute to them & I always feel that they are with me in the garden.

The statue and the story that goes with it are very sweet.
