Echium fastosum (Orgulho da Madeira)

These shrubs are very resistent to both cold and hot weather. The leaves are greyish and the flowers are about 30 or 40 centimetres long. They are native of some Atlantic islands like Madeira. They have several popular names, one of them is Pride of Madeira.
