It had to be moved Sticki ,the sun was beating down on it making it droop , this took ages to come through Angela I had almost given up on it , red sounds nice ! It does Sandra but it has to be tucked away for the winter months .....

so they prefer shade? how tall is this one amy?

This is approx. 24" Sticki , As Slad says they do usually like the sun I only recently moved mine outside so the sun may have been a shock for it ,it was for me to after all that rain !!

I have no full sun but I put mine in the sunniest spot!

Don't forget to check the crown for a bulbil!

What is a bulbil Meanie ? Thats something for me to check out , I shall be looking for your photo as well , I'm guessing it's something with which you can start a new plant !

A bulbil in this case is just a small bulb that starts growing in the top of the flower stem.

Is this a pineapple plant. Looks similar to the ones we grew when we lived down the road from here.

The common name is Pineapple Lily Linda.
