The poppy was placed well, with ample sunshine and a good position to manage wetness, the lewisia behind became shadowed by everything else as they grew. I've had poppies now for two months, what a giver!

Beautiful! Are the orange flowers Iceland poppies?
I love Iceland poppies...however, I can only grow them in the middle of winter here.

They are, or arctic poppy. I have loved them, They thrive from start to finish here, and seem to survive well. I'm thrilled I can trust to see it again in spring. :-)

You're lucky you can keep them in the ground! Here they will die by April or May at the latest...and will never come back. :>(
