Astilbe ' White Glory '

Oh,WOW,Amy..that is a beauty ! My pink one still isn't in flower..lots of spikes..but it's really taking it's time...:o(.
Added to faves,so I can remember the variety :o)

Such a snowy white! it's really beautiful,Amy. Placed my astilbes in the wrong bed the first spring...so they've just finished because of all the heat and dryness..and I prepared a proper spot for them in part shade where I know they will be happy. Now if I could find some of this lovely white glory...that would be a great addition to my astilbe spot!

Thanks all I'm glad you like it, It's the first nice white one I had seen so had to have it :o) Astilbes do like damp and shade Lori some people grow them at the waters edge ... If this ever gets to be divided up I will remember you !!

How nice of you! I wish I could put this beside the stream but there is no shade along the stream (yet)..
Have planted an Eleagnus but it's taking it's time..so in a year or two perhaps I'll have a shady moist spot. There is a lot of spade work to be done and the summer is winging away so quickly...can't believe it's August already!

Oh-oh... don't get me started. Today it was extremely humid...our temperature was 35 C. with the humidity factored in it was over 40 C. and dry...farmers have lost their crops...orchards are bare...We had a confused spring..very warm (March) then Very Cold (April into May) then hot and dry since the beginning of June! We had a couple of rainstorms with very high winds and damage to farm buildings, forests and lightening fires...so yes...we've had "summer-like" temps but horrible extremes. What's happening in France?
