Agapanthus always reminds me of Madeira, as they grow by the side of the road, like weeds. I have been there twice and would go there again. You seem to be doing extremely well this year Dotty :-)

I lost my white one through last winter, they just rotted with all the wet weather. Yours are looking great.

Thanks Louis, Madeira sound a lovely place to visit.......it has been a very good year for lilies of all kinds obviously like lots of moisture.
Amy several of the larger varieties are tender, we do grow them in pots, because we lost several in the ground, they do not like our wet winter.
Sorry to hear that Cinders, you are not the only one!!
Motty all ours are now grown in pots, and kept near the house and fleeced in the winter....
Meadow, when we went to the GCs this week they were all having massive clear outs, hoping for some bargains!!
HB thanks I do love them, have several different varieties now...

I have the white one too, only two flowers again this year. I'm amazed how this has survived over the years in my cold, frosty garden.

Me too Dawn as the larger ones are more tender.....

Dottydaisy2:
It's nice to see them blooming for you. All the millions here have finished blooming a month ago. They are very widely planted in the medians and along the freeways.

I believe the wet, mine has never done so well before.

Michaella I think your right there......Delonix it must be quite a sight to see so many flowering at once....

They're so common here I think most people don't really notice them. They also naturalize and take over huge areas.
