Probably the only flower our son can ID ... he grew some in Junior school and always remembers them! ... :o)

I love those bright colours,Jane..strangely enough,I've never grown them..I might next year..Aren't they prone to Blackfly? ..not sure,but maybe the reason I haven't grown them..My Orange Dahlia has had lots on the stems this year,but not the Yellow ones..which are side by side in pots !

Mick reliably informs me they are, but so far, touch wood haven't got any this year. They are really fantastic, must like rain........ Jx

Well that's an improvement,Jane..it's been very warm and sunny here.It has forecast rain tomorrow afternoon..but water Butts are empty,so it is needed ...

Yes I have used them in salads, but only the flowers Lulu. Will try leaves at some point. Jx
