Muddy, I didn't even do the Big Butterfly Count this year ... seemed pointless ... then I received an e-mail saying please do the count regardless of the lack of Butterflies ... slapped wrist for me then! ... :o)

One of these flew in to my conservatory today...but it made it back out before the dog got it!

I know just what you mean, Amy, there do seem to be plenty of Cabbage Whites around and I know I should appreciate them, but they just don't have that impact ... lol! ....... Lulu, I was so lucky as usually by the time I've got the camera ready, the subject has flown away! ... :o)

Thankyou Dotty - when I went to the allotment earlier there were three female Holly Blue butterflies - beautiful with black edged wings - must be feeding on fruit and veg! .......

We get a lot of the Holly Blue......

Must be the South Coast drawing them in! .......
