H.Paris blooms for a long time. It has 3 lovely fresh flowers and 2 which have 'gone over' therefore it blooms for a long time.

I have this one and a very similar one called Strawberry Candy both have been disappointing with their flowers this year. Glad to see yours is doing better :)

is one supposed to cut back the flower stems after the flowers fade? My Plum Pudding flowered months ago, but I'm wary of cutting back unless I know it's ok

Wait for the flowers to die to brown Fran, than snip them off low down, if you can, or just the dead tops. At the same time snip off any dead, discoloured leaves round the edges or even elswhere on the plant. Bit of feed and water, maybe spray a foliar feed like miraclgro. Might even put up some more flowers if that sort of Heuchera.

thanks, Dorjac. The flowers died long ago, there's just yard-long stems waving about like triffid feelers! I'll snip them next time I'm outside.
I use plant food powder in the watering can, now and then put some in a sprayer and mist the foliage as well.
