How hot is it at the beaches?

We started a new heat wave in San Diego, yesterday. :>/

Thank you all.

It feels like we are going to have a nice cool day today....under 30C..... hurray!!!!!!!!!!!
We might even get some rain.....yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under 30ºC/86ºF, that's cool?! lol! :>) I know it's all relative. 30ºC/86ºF is the normal high temp for where I live, this time of year. Over the next week it's going to be much, much hotter, though (maybe 105ºF/41ºC.) I just received my very high electric bill, yesterday. :>( The a/c will be working 24/7 !

It's been a pretty warm to hot and humid summer so far this year. The monsoonal flow has been very strong week-after-week! We only get the hot, humid clouds...but the mountains and deserts have been getting severe thunderstorms and flooding rains.

We've had a fantastic thunder lightning storm with lots and lots of rain. Under 30C....what a relief!!! Going to go back up on Monday...what a shame. I've had enough of the heat waves!!!

Wow! That sounds exciting...since we don't get thunderstorms very often.

Last Friday through this past weekend we had some of the hottest weather of the whole season. Many places got up to around 112ºF (44.4ºC) and it was a very, very dry heat!
I had two days of 106ºF (41.1ºC) and Friday with the temp that high it stayed above 100ºF (38ºC) for 9 hours (from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 pm. My garden and many others around look like a blow-torch went through! :>(
Most of my Plumerias are burned! Even my large one in the ground! They typically love this hot weather.

I lost many Plumerias in October, November of 2008 (from severe sun-burne). It was the hottest Fall in 20 years.

Oh...that is toooooo hot for September!!! I like the change of seasons....I would like to skip winter though.

Spring, summer and autumn....that sounds great!

Well, September is when the hottest temps ever recorded have taken place in many cities in California. Downtown San Diego's hottest temp ever recorded was on Sept. 25, 1939; it was 111ºF (43.9ºC). Some inland districts around San Diego recorded temps to 121ºF (49.4ºC) on this same date.

In Oct/Nov of 2008 we had many days of 100ºF (38ºC) or greater, it was the hottest fall in 20 years to that date. I lost about a dozen Plumeria plants in pots that year.
:>( I didn't realize the trunks were burning up until it was too late.

Tomorrow it may be close to 100ºF (38ºC), AGAIN!!!
