This Begonia is native to the tropical rain forest of Brazil. It can grow very tall to 12ft/ 3.7m. It grows very well along most of California's coast. Photo taken at Quail Botanical Gardens (San Diego Botanical Gardens) on Sept. 4, 2012.

Yes, in the ground it can grow to 12ft. In a pot it usually stays around 5 or 6 ft., maximum.

Very nice, mine is only 3ft at the moment if it gets to 12ft i'll have to get a greenhouse extention. :o)
