P.quadrangularis grow s here under heated glass - I've posted a few shots of the one at Oxfords botanic gardens.

Yes, I do remember those pics. So, it only grow under glass. I kind of figured. I know it grows here...however, it only grows well in Southern California...Northern California is too cold for it in winter.

I have found some seed for P.quadrangularis in a sale - may order them just for the hell of it!

Fort William looks like a beautiful, lush green place. It looks very cold, though. I can't even imagine such cold when it's 11:00 a.m. and already 98ºF (37ºC).

and they probably cant imagine 98º !!! i expect its one of the coldest places in the UK?
but it is an evocative and stunning location!
