Is the dog playing with snakes?

The geranium, very kindly sent by Bjs, has had a few tiny flowers on it; so small it took me a while to notice them, and they were already past their best by then.
The snekes were an attempt at squirrel-proofing. I'd read that to keep birds off the seeds, buy a realistic snake, pose it, and move it a bit every couple of days to make it seem alive. Wondered if it'd work with squirrels.
Maybe I didn't move them often eough; or maybe, as there's no squirrel-eating snakes in the UK, they're not imprinted with that danger pattern.
lol of course I'd need a large snake to be able to munch a squirrel! maybe I should get a real python.
