Passiflora alata (Passiflora alata)

Just opening, although I fear that this is maybe as good as this will get because the nights are too cold for it really.

Just this one bloom was worth it Moti!

I now have a more mature plant for next year (it was but a small cutting when I got it) that should perform better.

Will this grow outside on a south facing wall Meanie ? now that we have had to take shrubs out that damaged the down pipes I shall have to think of something else to put against the walls , some plants that haven't huge roots I think would be best !

It's too tender to live outdoors Amy, and needs real heat to bloom.

P amethyst may be ok in a sheltered spot.................

I've been busy reading up about them Meanie and can see that they are very tender , I'm afraid none of them will be suitable for the spot I had in mind they get the sun but also catch the winter frosts :o(

Love those colours, have been trying to find one that will grow outside also, the common one grows like a weed here, was hoping to find something more unusual, will try that site you mentioned.....
