Phoenix robellini - Pygmy Date Palm

This is a multi-headed pygmy date palm. Photo taken in Carlsbad, CA. (in northern San Diego County) on Sept. 3, 2012.

Will they produce dates? (sounds like a silly question, but I know that dwarfed vars. of many different types of plants do not fruit.)

It does produce edible fruit; however, there's little meat. lol!
