I don't know which type of Allium, it was a gift with no lable.

Although it is a member of the Allium subfamily, it is in fact a Tulbaghia. If I were to guess the exact species I would take a punt on Tulbaghia violacea, or one of the hybrids thereof. A really lovely plant and fully hardy. Should multiply well for you over the years.

Thanks Meanie. No wonder I had trouble finding it's name......will edit photo. It has flowered non stop since given to me.

They are a really good doer - one of the first to bloom and then one of the last to finish too.
