Can you put a name to this Allium its pretty small,Showed a pic last week with it between my fingers

I have Allium Neapolitanum - Cowanii group, and they look similar but yours have more details and even prettier than mine so possibly Allium neapolitanun en Saint-Michel-de-Llotes?

Drc just looked up the Neapolitanum group flowers similar, however mine only grows to about 150mm (6in)

Sorry - mine flower April/May and are about 18" tall Bjs.
Try Allium callimischon that is white with red brown lines and flowers in autumn?

You look as though you are pretty well on it, Callimischon the form Haemostictum which differs from the type which has red lines mine has spots.
The other thing that ties up 100% is that it dies down in summer leaving what looks like dead stems standing about four inches high and from these the buds emerge,once in flower the new leaves start to grow from below ground.

there's one in my book named A.Ostrowskiianum description .. carries it's pink starry flowers in wide clusters .. thats all it says not when it flowers or how tall it is ,might be worth googling it ..

Amy, I have Ostrowskianum and they are a deepish pink clusters and flower in June.

Try this link. www.rareplants.co.uk. Click on alliums on the list on the left and then go down through the alliums that come up. Your allium is shown. It is described as having large blotches all over the petals but it looks exactly like yours if you click on the 'large size'.
