I have bought it as news into my garden. I have three different sorts of Echinacea and this one will add more spice to them :)) Hope it will look like this next year. This photo is not mine.

P.s. I wanted to upload it not as my photo, but as the function "add plant" to my surprise, but there was no photo offered, so I had to upload one from the web for illustration. I have young plants, just planted them day before yesterday.

Katarina
Thompson and Morgan who I think introduced it in the UK originally claimed it to be perennial have now altered there minds and list it as HHA. they are a good deal darker than the picture you used (artistic Licence)
I have grown a few from seed this year and it has been a struggle they did not start flowering until eary September.
The growth is very similar to another form I have called Irish Mist and that is HHA as well.
Certainly is where I grow it, so may need to be wrapped up for winter.

Thank you. That is interesting, what you have written. What des that mean - HHA - Brian? Do you have any photo of them? I am looking forward how they will look like...will be surprise. I think I am not going to cover them, as I planted them in a place where I grow Mediterranean plants, so well drained soil, south oriented sheltered place.
DonĀ“t you think that late bloom could have been caused by cold and rainy summer over there?

This is a beautiful Rudbeckia, Katarina. If I spot it at a garden centre I will certainly get one. I don't particularly like the common yellow variety & wouldn't put it in my garden, but this one is a definite yes for me.
