Eight hairy spuds planted Ausust 2012 - see how many I get if the squirrels stop digging 'em up

Got more and bigger shoots, but the biggest one on the right seems to be lying down on the job! it overhangs the front of the trough by several inches.
I spent ages trying to find out when one should harvest - most "grow your own" advice seems to be on planting - but finally found out that one should lift the crop after the flowers have faded. Seen no sign of flowers so far, so hope the rain's not affecting them too much.
I think they'd been in a month or so when I took the pic, so that's onlly two months ago; fingers crossed that I'll get something out of it eventually; don't remember how long the article said the growing season is - and of course, might have been entirely the wrong time of year to try! but if I don't see any action by spring, I'll think again - need the space for spring bedding plants!

Let's hope you get some good results ...
