This bird decided to sit on my weather vane - I am sure he was eyeing up my visiting goldfinch on the feeders - he was unsuccessful !

Thankyou all for your comments - I was lucky to get the shot - I looked through the window and at first glance I thought it was the usual wood pigeon - and then thought well he is looking a lot slimmer and then realising that it was something else - so I dashed for the camera and managed to get the shot through the glass with my Canon sx10 which has a digital zoom - I was pleased to get the shot but I am afraid he is not a welcome visitor!
