Thanks Tt, this one is very slow, about 5 years old, only 5ins wide in a semi-shaded border beside the greenhouse for a little protection. :o)

The pink colour is lovely. They do seem to take their time spreading. I'm getting to understand the conditions they need :o)

Thanks all, I was told this should be pot grown when I bought it but I decided to risk it in a favoured spot, it has come through some tough winters so it has worked out well :o)

I like this Plantoholic , what conditions do they need TT?, yes they do look a bit like mini Heucheras, lovely colours.

I think Plantoholic is more experienced with Sax. Fort. than I am ...

I've learnt that some do seem to prefer being in pots ... in semi-shade ... moist, rich humus soil, but good drainage.
Protect from very cold conditions...
