Knew I'd find a use for a spare shower curtain!

I'd been putting my small plants undercover in my mini-greenhouse in preparation for hard weather: the zip on one side of the door had stuck, and trying to free it broke the whole zip. So I thought I might as well take the door off and use something else to cover the front. Tha plastic has become so brittle that the whole front tore off. Had to find something else to use, remembered I had a spare shower curtain and actually managed to find it. Held on with clothes pegs. Not at all elegant, but it does the job for now

thanks. it surprised me how brittle the plastic had become: my other one's still flexible, but then it' not in direct sunlight hardly at all.
merry Crimbo and happy new year to you too

lol lucky I not only had that shower curtain going spare, but I knew roughly where it was and found it fairly quickly - neither a common occurrence!

Hi Fran that plastic stuff does go brittle and yellow in the sunshine . Have a good Crimbo. Should help protect your precious plants.

so long as it keeps squrrels and snow out! I still have a pack of flece sheeting, but it's a bit late to try to wrap the green house now: besides, the squrrels loved it, kept pulling bits off it, I presume to line their dreys.
