its a typical scene here. this year nests were full of young storks. lots of food maybe for 2012

In Rust. There is one large colony of storks in Central Europe.

A lovely picture! It reminds me of one of my favourite childhood books - "The Wheel on the School" by Meindert DeJong. It's about schoolchildren in the Netherlands who search for a wheel to put on the school roof so that storks will nest there.

No, English. When I was a child, my grandmother enrolled me in the Children's Book Club, run by Foyles, a London publisher, who sent a book every month. I never knew what was coming. Some were "boys' books", some well-known, others less so. It was a brilliant idea, and introduced me to many books I would not necessarily have chosen for myself. This was one of them. I still have many of them, and re-read them occasionally!
