Well I have the last laugh on Lidl. A good soak, a cool conservatory and look at her now.

it so much prettier than I expected. I hope it will last and survive in the garden.

Yes, surprisingly pretty ...
...will you be able to take cuttings, so that you can have more of these around your garden ?

Well done! I bought the same today! :))
Do you know that you can plant this one outside in spring and it will grow there for many seasons? I have two little bushes like that and they are so vigorous and so beautiful spots in my garden, without any disease (in contrast to some rhodies), that I decided to widen the spectrum of colours.

There are side shoots but as it is a standard I dont know wether to keep it as one or let it branch out.

Keep it like that. It will spread into beautiful elongated shrub, that reminds cushion.

How beautiful! Well done. :-0)
I can't grow them in my garden, but I'm considering one for my large blue pot where the Pieris has died. It'll have to be an evergreen one, though.
