Hamamelis mollis 'Pallida' - 2013 (Hamamelis x intermedia 'Pallida')

As well as being a good 'doer', this variety shows up well against a dark background. It is fully 90 feet from the house but you can still see when its in bloom.

What a perfect idea and view. I like "frame" of your pond. Are those classic bricks, Andrew?

Katrina - they are engineering bricks. I had to have the liner replaced about three years ago (the pond had sprung a leak) which meant replacing all the top bricks. The old ones had started breaking up badly from the frost, so I took the opportunity to replace them

Isn't that lovely....a great focal point to draw the eye down the garden.
