no - not trees, just a bit of a branch with the mistletoe growing on it. I think an apple trees are favourite hosts for them.

Here they mainly parasitize on poplar trees and sycamore.

I read that mistletoe likes apple trees, which made me wonder what the old druids were on about, it growing on oak trees ...
