My Mum reckoned it was -17 in Marham, Norfolk yesterday [she doesnt live there]

mum lives in devon ~ not sure how she had heard that bit of news ~ the reason she would have remembered/noticed it is her mum was born there ~ a loooong time ago! She probably didnt hear it quite right.

Sometimes these things get exaggerated, car thermomerters etc. are not always that accurate then get reported as fact, but I can confirm it was pretty cold!!!

17 Jan, 2013

very true about the exaggerating! its easily possible she was mistaken ~ they may have been talking about something years ago!

it was milder here today ~ too cold to snow ~ but its snowing now ~ about an inch so far!

Pleased to hear the tracy can survive that low, ours is still a baby, so it will be some time before it reaches those dizzy heights.....

I think i've had these about 12 years, in fertile clay soil they grow surprisingly quickly, my OH, has one in sandy soil is growing much slower as does my one in a pot.

Ours is in fairly heavy soil, we should have bought a larger one really, time is not on our side lol

It's supposed to be the worst winter since 1962/3, but that
