Mahonia

Did it smell good? Love the scent of Mahonia..

I dk Lulu. I have had a choked nose for the past four weeks. I thought the number and size of the flower spikes was incredible compared to the poor but beautifully scented one in my garden. It has been like this since the beginning of January and I took my camera along last weekend. I'll ask someone to sniff it for me this weekend.

I so would like one in my garden, keep forgetting to buy one!

Lol my nose gets better over the week and chokes up the minute I get in to the potting shed. The mahonia is on the way to the loo which is a couple of hundred yards from the room we are in.

Lovely bush. I love the scent of the flowers too. Reminds me of Lillies of the valley.

It was a lovely sunny morning today here in Edinburgh and the scent of lily of the valley could be smelled from quite a distance. Lovely.

Lily of the Valley out now? Better go check mine...but don't think I've seen them...

Sorry Lulu, its the mahonia that has a scent just like lily of the valley. I saw some leaves of that poking through after the sun on Saturday am but its been raining cats and dogs since then so I'm staying indoors.

Yay a bit of sun this morning, no doubt some rain will be coming in from somewhere though. I might try and get out and cut back my huge Malva before the high winds split it! I may even go check the one Mahonia the stud has hidden secretly in the garlic wood!
