Balcony with snow 20-01-2013

You don't seem to have had much ... like here, we didn't have much. I'm glad to hear it's all gone now ...

We only had a few inches, Hywel, enough to make life uncomfortable without making it impossible!

Last Wednesday I fell over & landed on my backside but hurt my left wrist in the fall. At first I thought I'd broken a bone in my wrist but when it started to subside a little after a few minutes I found I was able to move my fingers alright & then to be able to twist my wrist. I was relieved to discover I still had all my movement as if I had broken a bone I wouldn't have had. Still a tiny bit sore if I make certain movements but I consider myself very fortunate not to have broken anything.

Did you have much of the white stuff? I heard on the news that Wales, especially South Wales, had a great deal of it.

It all melted away overnight Saturday/Sunday & the rain washed it all away!:-)) Like you I'm not at all fond of it! I like to see it for a day or two at best but then I just want it to go away & stay on the mountains or the Poles, where it belongs!

I'm sorry to hear of your fall, but glad you were not injured too much. It's very dangerous weather, not to mention depressing.

We didn't have much snow here. South east wales had a lot apparently. A friend of mine lives 6 miles away, and they had much more there than we did. Such a difference in a short distance.
The further east, the worse it was.

My wrist is fine now - while I don't apply pressure to it. Give it a few more days & there will be no more pain. I was fortunate not to have broken a bone in my wrist they can be quite tricky to heal properly. A lady, in another forum, from Canada, had a similar accident to me but she wasn't as fortunate as I was & she broke her wrist. But it wasn't set properly & they had to redo it. So she will be in difficulties for another few weeks.
