Painted Lady butterfly

usually around in August, this beauty visits seldom the old garden, but the new house had them fluttering all over through the trees and resting the hot afternoons on the northeast wall. I'm very excited for the droves I hope to see in the garden next year.

Oh, that's very strange. I don't see much cabbage white here, but this one seems to be plentiful, as well as the swallowtail. We have lots of those too. I hope you see a return this year, Lincs.

I hope you do see lots of them, we have a lack of them here now, even the common Cabbage White was obvious by its absence last year.
