I recognize these! I had one given to me last year and it spent a happy summer in the greenhouse..and is surviving the winter in the livingroom. It's grown about a foot since last spring!

Oooppps! I put the incorrect botanical name! lol! :>) I have to change the name. Thanks for the comment!

I remember your E. trigona. I'm so glad it's growing very well for you! :>)

This is not Euphorbia trigona; it's E. ingens. E. trigona grow typically only to 15ft (4.6m) or slightly taller. E. ingens can grow to more than 50ft (15m) tall.

Thanks D1... 15ft will be plenty big enough here as I'll have to transport it between the house and the greenhouse. When I move it outdoors this spring I have to give it a sizeup on the pot. When I got it it was planted in a six inch azalea pot and kept falling over!...when I put it in it's present 10 inch pot it took a while to get it's legs under it...now it's too tall and tippy again...What size pot would you recommend? I'm thinking at least a 12 inch for the summer and then into a much larger trough.

It will most likely never grow to 15ft tall in a pot.
E. trigona will only typically grow this tall in the ground. :>)

I have one in the house which is 6ft (2m) tall. It's been in the house for 12 years. It's in a very small terracotta pot about a gallon size. When I purchased it, it was about 8 inches tall.
