L.carnosa and comptonii.
I've decided to start them off in April and keep them green for the first year..................

I've grown carnosa but not comptonii, I was given some tiny offsetts in exchange for L.viridiflora so not tried them from seed, I've always dried mine off in the summer.

Yes M, keeping seedlings green makes sense, mine have all been from offsetts so haven't had to keep them going.
When I sort them out in August I'll send you a few bulbs of the one above it usually makes up quite quickly.

Yes, until they bloom, then they become a feature in the house.
