Hi all - don't worry this was that summer we had !! seen a few in the conifers though
24 Feb, 2013
I remember this time last year in the very dry mild spell we had, seeing many mating pairs of Ladybirds, 8 pairs all on one of my customer's gate post at one time.I predicted to friends and customers that Ladybirds would have a population explosion. But, little was I to know how cold and wet it would turn by early/mid spring. So, as a consequence , I saw ver few Ladybirds last summer.I hope their numbers recover this year!,

Big shame Paul yes - always lovely to see one. Hope it is getting all the cold out of the way for a warm long summer - not hot but warm with some thunder :D

Ha ha....you know what u want Paul!! just drier and warmer than last year would do me.I think another like last year would have me considering my future as a gardener. It was the worst of my eight years gardening for a living! I don't earn much but last year was ridiculous!

Yes it was awful Paul - It was rather funny looking back at it - but it rained everyday or very close to, one day it started dry, I cemented then rain and winds came - the umbrella blew next door which was covering cement - and I just got very peed off and shouting F**.. weather :D
24 Feb, 2013
then went round and asked for umbrella to neighbour as I told him in the pouring rain and gales I was cementing !!

Ha ha...yeah awful year.I only had 3 weeks in the whole spring, summer and autumn when I had no rain interruptions at all.Every other week it rained and quite a lot of weeks it rained all week which is very unusual in this part of the country! usually, my problem by August/September is that it's so dry, nothing is growing , but not last year!!!!

looks much the same Paul - I do weather stuff and there is really no real good news for near future with the weather , then again at least it is now not in Spring
25 Feb, 2013
Yes, the various weather sites I look at suggest not much more than 5/6 C highest temperature for next 2 weeks!

What a great photo Paul! Was this taken with the camera you got for Christmas? If so I am pleased it works OK and I got you the correct one, as I had no idea and there were so many of them xx
